Men's Tan Leather Jumbo Bifold Wallet

Tan, and properly tan. A warm honey colour that most wallets in this country do not come in, because it is the hardest finish to get right and the easiest to get wrong.

Open it and you see why it is called a jumbo. There is a flip-out panel with a clear ID window, a run of five card slots, a zipped coin pocket down the centre, and a second pocket on the right that closes with a popper stud. All of that sits inside a wallet that is still a normal 12.7 x 10.2 cm closed.

The zip and the stud pocket are the two things that separate it from every other bifold we sell. Change goes in the zip, and the popper pocket takes the things you do not want falling out: a spare key, a folded receipt, a SIM.

The colour will move. Tan starts light and works toward honey over the first year, faster at the corners and wherever your thumb rests. It is the most expensive men's wallet we sell and it is also the one that will look least like anyone else's by next summer.

Questions people ask

Will the tan mark easily?
More than black, yes. Light leather shows everything for the first month and then the patina starts covering it. If that idea bothers you, buy black.

Does it rub off on light trousers?
No. The finish is set into the hide.

How is this different from your tan bifold with the card holder?
The other tan bifold is slimmer and has a card insert that lifts out. This one is built for capacity instead, with a zip pocket, a stud pocket and an ID panel.

Is it thick?
Thicker than our slim bifolds, yes. It has a zip and two extra pockets in it. This is a jacket wallet more than a front trouser pocket one.

Why Rs 1,899?
Twice the interior construction of a normal bifold, a zip, a stud, and tan hide is the most expensive we buy.
