The flip panel is worth explaining. Your licence or office card sits in the oval window on a leaf that swings out on its own, so you show it without emptying the wallet or bending a card back out of a slot.

How dark is the brown?
Dark. Closer to espresso than to tan, and it reads almost black in low light. The tan stitching is what tells you it is brown from across a room.

Does the ID panel come out?
No, it is stitched in. It swings out, it does not detach.

Will the contrast stitching fade?
It darkens slightly with handling, which closes the gap between thread and leather a little. Most people like it better after a year.
